MASON JAR LID CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

One of my room mom duties is to come up with fun crafts for the kids and these mason jar lid Christmas ornaments were fun to make and turned out really cute! I love having the kids make something they can take home and use.

Supplies

mason jar lids

scrapbook paper

ribbon or twine

hot glue gun

Elmer’s white glue

I had the kids choose the paper they wanted to use and then pop out the inside of the lid and trace. Next, they cut out the circle and used white glue to glue their circle of paper on to the lid. I helped with the hot glue gun running a thin line around the inside of the lid and then placed the center of the lid with their paper inside. The kids cut the ribbon or twine and then I attached with the glue gun. In this pack of scrapbook paper, there are also some really cute stickers the kids could add to the middle if they chose. They really enjoyed picking just the right spot on the paper and placing it inside the ornament. These ornaments would also make a great at home project to do with your kids and they could give them as gifts!
